FreightInsure, Australia's leading embedded freight insurance platform, today announced the appointment of Simon Schwarz, Jonathan Bass, and Tiffany Sangster as Executive Directors, each holding equal standing within the company's leadership structure.

The restructure formalises the roles of three leaders who have been central to FreightInsure's growth across Australia and New Zealand, and positions the business for continued expansion into new markets and distribution partnerships.

Simon Schwarz, Executive Director

Simon co-founded FreightInsure and has led the business since inception, shaping its product philosophy, underwriting strategy, and distributor model. Under his leadership, FreightInsure has grown to become Australia's leading embedded freight insurance platform, operating across Australia and New Zealand.

Jonathan Bass, Executive Director

Jonathan has driven FreightInsure's commercial growth since joining the business, building the distributor network that now spans freight forwarders, transport operators, 3PLs, and logistics platforms across Australia and New Zealand. Gross written premium grew 41.7% year on year in 2025 under his commercial leadership.

Tiffany Sangster, Executive Director

Tiffany has led FreightInsure's operations, overseeing claims management, platform performance, and day-to-day delivery at scale. Her leadership has been central to maintaining a quote-to-bind conversion rate of 99% in Q1 2026.

A structure that reflects the business

Simon Schwarz said the restructure reflects how the business has operated in practice for some time.

"Jonathan and Tiffany have been running significant parts of this business with full ownership and accountability. Formalising that at the director level is the right thing to do, and it sets us up well for what comes next."

The equal Executive Director structure brings commercial, operational, and strategic leadership into formal alignment as FreightInsure scales its platform across new geographies and partner categories.

Business performance

The appointments come as FreightInsure reports strong growth across key metrics:

  • Active policies reached 166,704 in 2025, up 35.9% year on year and growing monthly.
  • The distributor network grew 45.5% on the prior year.
  • GWP grew 41.7% year on year in 2025.
  • In Q1 2026, the platform maintained a quote-to-bind conversion rate of 99%.

FreightInsure currently operates across Australia and New Zealand, with further market expansion planned.
